Comfort Inn & Suites

Booked two nights first night everything good, but next day when renewing my room key they suddenly remembered that they don’t accept locals even though i had already stayed a night. I argued that to manager and suddenly she decided to kick me out and stated “i was trying to help you out” like it a was even a favor to pay to stay there lmao just cancelled that night and went somewhere else. Manager is a pro of turning a small situation into a problem.

Bottom line…dirty hotel with terrible customer service from management. This was probably the worst hotel experience I’ve had. First, when we pulled out the sleeper sofa, the mattress was covered with old food crumbs. Then one of my kids laid on a bed and his shirt got wet from the bed. When we looked, some liquid had soaked from the mattress cover through the sheet and onto his shirt. I’m assuming someone had wet the bed or spilled something and the hotel just put dry sheets over it and called it good. I called the front desk and the guy quickly came up and fixed the bed. I told him that in addition to the wet bed the internet wasn’t working and the sleeper sofa was dirty and I would want to speak to a manager in the morning (this was around 10:15pm). At 10:30pm he knocked on the door and said his manager asked him to look at the sleeper sofa to make sure we were telling the truth about it having food on it. This was ridiculous at 10:30 at night, but the kid was nice, so I pulled out the sleeper sofa and showed him dried cheese on the mattress and some that I had already brushed to the floor. In the morning at checkout I asked the lady at the front desk if she was aware of our issues from the previous night and she said she heard the manager discuss it and that we would get a partial refund. I assumed the manager would reach out to me but she never did and we never got a refund. I filled out their e-mail survey and the manager sent a generic email saying they would do better. I replied asking about the refund and she never bothered to write back. I would never stay here again.

This hotel was terrible. If I could give it zero stars, I would. My family and I stopped here for the night on our trip from Denver to Dallas, and we didn’t check in until super late, it was nearly 1am. My husband and I carried our sleeping kids to their beds and got them all tucked in for the night, but then we noticed that there were food and dirty utensils all over the counters and in the fridge, the only towels in the bathroom were in a garbage bag on the floor, and there was someone’s underwear hanging in the shower. It was clear that aside from the beds being made, our room had NOT be properly cleaned. We went back down to the lobby to get it resolved, but the check-in clerk was no where to be found. We tried waiting and looking around for an employee, but it was getting close to 2am and we were exhausted, so we eventually gave up and went to bed in our dirty hotel room. Once the sun was up, my husband went back to the lobby to try to talk to someone about our situation, but the person at the counter basically told him “Well you already slept in it, and you bought it through a third party (Expedia) so there’s nothing I can do except give you some clean towels.” I will not be staying at this hotel ever again and I would advise anyone else to avoid it as well.

My wife and I are traveling on US 40 and needed a place to rest last night. We chose the Comfort Inn in Amarillo, TX. This turned out to be a very good choice. The property, lobby, guest areas, and our room were clean, well-decorated, and it all came at a very reasonable price. We also appreciated the hot breakfast (eggs, sausages, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle maker. This is far better than the cereal, toast, and fruit that some places consider a breakfast. The best part of the visit was the outstanding customer care that we received during check in. J. Wilco was utterly fantastic! She was professional, friendly, personable, and funny. I can’t say enough about her great customer service that appears to be effortless for her. Thank you J. Wilco!
